Technical Services Assistant

Job Requirements:

• Must be an NC II holder in any of the following:
  • Pipe Fitting (Metallic)
  • Plumbing (Metallic)
  • Gas Welding
  • SMAW
  • Electrical Installation and Maintenance
  • Basic Electrical Wiring
• Knowledgeable in electric motor controls
• With a valid driver’s license (Restriction Codes A, A1, B, B1, or B2 preferred)
• SAP literacy is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting is an advantage

Responsibilities:

1. LPG Tank Maintenance

• Inspect LPG storage tanks for corrosion, dents, or structural damage
• Check and verify the proper functioning of tank fittings, valves, and pressure relief devices
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning in accordance with safety standards
• Record maintenance activities and update inspection logs

2. LPG Piping Inspection & Leak Prevention

• Conduct systematic inspections of LPG pipes, joints, and valves
• Detect gas leaks using approved methods (e.g., gas detector, soapy water test)
• Ensure piping alignment, support, and installation comply with safety and technical standards
• Document inspection results and initiate corrective actions when necessary

3. Pipe Repair & Leak Rectification

• Identify and isolate defective LPG piping sections
• Repair or replace pipes, fittings, and valves according to specifications
• Conduct post-repair leak tests before returning systems to service

4. LPG Pump System Troubleshooting & Repair

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in LPG pump systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and calibration
• Replace defective components and verify proper operation

5. Painting & Corrosion Prevention

• Prepare tank and pipe surfaces for painting or coating
• Apply protective coatings to prevent rust and corrosion
• Inspect painted areas and perform touch-ups as needed

6. Safety & Compliance

• Follow SOPs and occupational safety procedures at all times
• Use appropriate PPE correctly and consistently
• Comply with LPG handling regulations, codes, and company policies

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inspection reports
• Report defects, incidents, and non-conformities promptly
• Support continuous improvement through proper documentation and feedback
