10th Phoenix Open Tees Off Today
Leading independent and fastest-growing oil company Phoenix Petroleum is holding the 10th Phoenix Open at Rancho Palos Verdes in its hometown Davao City today, March 17, 2018, as part of the Araw ng Dabaw festivities. This year, Phoenix will be giving out a million pesos, three cars, a top-of-the-line motorcycle, and many other exciting prizes.
Phoenix executives led by President and CEO Dennis Uy, special guests, and golf enthusiasts tee off at 6:00 AM today in the first of three Phoenix golf events that are part of the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) qualifying tournaments this year.
On its milestone year, Phoenix Petroleum made its annual golf tournament bigger by holding it at three prime locations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and by giving away more prizes as it opens to more players. Registered players will each receive an Under Armour shirt and cap, a JBL Trip communication and audio system by Harman Kardon, and a Phoenix golf umbrella.
Proceeds of the Phoenix Open will support the programs of the Phoenix Philippines Foundation, which focuses on four advocacies: Education, Environment, Health and Safety, and Outreach. Since its inception and from the first year of the Phoenix Open, the Foundation has helped thousands of beneficiaries and partnered with communities for various projects. Phoenix Philippines Foundation has produced 7,945 preschool graduates and 1,875 livelihood graduates, adopted 23 schools, planted 49,500 trees, adopted a Philippine Eagle, created 30 artificial reefs, collected 7,011 blood bags, helped 16,078 patients of medical and dental missions, and gifted school supplies to 16,146 kids.

The next legs of Phoenix Open will take place on May 11, 2018 at the Manila Golf and Country Club, and on June 22, 2018 at the Cebu Country Club.
