Phoenix Petroleum launches year 2 of Pinoy Hoops camp

Phoenix Philippines
Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the fastest-growing oil company in the country, Phoenix Petroleum, has launched the second year of its own basketball camp, Pinoy Hoops, on March 30, 2019 at Subic, Zambales.

Phoenix PULSE Fuel Masters Alex Mallari, L.A. Revilla, Jorey Napoles, and Dave Marcelo joined the launch and met, inspired, and motivated this year’s Pinoy Hoops participants.

A total of 216 young basketball players participated in the week-long tournament-style program. Eighteen teams, composed of 12 players each, competed against each other, simulating real varsity games patterned from the big leagues.

Pinoy Hoops is an annual CSR program of Phoenix Petroleum launched in 2018. So far, the campaign was participated in by over 300 young basketball players since its establishment.

Recently, a special one-day basketball camp was organized by the Foundation and the Phoenix PULSE Fuel Masters in Davao City to teach basic basketball skills to young basketball aspirants from Phoenix Petroleum-adopted schools. Aside from sports program, Phoenix Philippines Foundation also facilitates other advocacy projects, focusing on education, health, safety, and community outreach initiatives.
