Phoenix Petroleum plants more than 3,000 seedlings

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, through the Phoenix Philippines Foundation, conducted the ‘Plant & Save a Tree’ activity in Batangas, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro City in celebration of the Philippine Environment Month last June.

Almost 100 Phoenix employees in Luzon, together with volunteers from the Local Government of San Nicolas, Batangas, planted 560 assorted hardwood seedlings at Brgy. Alas-as, San Nicolas, Batangas on June 20, 2015.

In Mindanao, about 70 Phoenix Petroleum employees volunteered in planting 1,500 Lauan and 500 Narra seedlings at Malagos Watershed, Calinan, Davao City on June 27, 2015. Also, a total of 1,000 Lauan seedlings were planted at Mahuganao Watershed, Malasag Heights, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City on July 10, 2015.

Apart from the tree planting activities, Phoenix Petroleum sponsored 400 assorted fruit-bearing seedlings at Purok Pagunsan, Brgy. Paraiso, Koronadal City on June 29, 2015, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Koronadal City. Team Phoenix also participated in the creek cleanup at Brgy. Katipunan, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental on July 11, 2015, together with volunteers of Brgy. Katipunan, local officials from Municipality of Villanueva, and Coca Cola.
Phoenix Petroleum is engaged in the business of trading refined petroleum products and lubricants, operation of oil depots and storage facilities, shipping/logistics and allied services. It continues its advocacy on environment through the ‘Plant & Save a Tree’ activity as one of its major programs in preserving the natural habitat and ensuring the abundance of water supply for the future generation. Since 2009, the company was able to plant 16,000 seedlings in different areas in the Philippines.
