Phoenix Petroleum’s Pinoy Tsuper Hero wins Award of Excellence at 2018 Philippine Quill Awards
Phoenix Petroleum’s first-of-its-kind advocacy campaign, Pinoy Tsuper Hero, has bagged the Award of Excellence for the Community Relations category from the prestigious Philippine Quill Awards held at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City on July 9, 2018.
The campaign recognizes outstanding Filipino drivers who exemplify discipline on the road, make a big difference in the community, and take steps to protect the environment. Pinoy Tsuper Hero aims to bring out the “superhero” in every driver and promote driving as a noble profession.
“We are very happy that we were given this recognition. This will only fuel our desire and motivation to help even more Filipino drivers in the future and make the Pinoy Tsuper Hero program even better and more inclusive in the coming years,” Phoenix Petroleum Chief Operating Officer Henry Fadullon said.
Launched in 2015 in partnership with ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya and Bayan Academy, Phoenix Petroleum combs the country year-round in search of the next Pinoy Tsuper Hero. This year, the campaign received a record-high of 30,000 nominations.
Top candidates for the title undergo a series of trainings to improve their skills and knowledge. The winner automatically becomes the Pinoy Tsuper Hero ambassador and joins post-campaign roadshows and activities to further promote the advocacies championed by the program.
Three Pinoy Tsuper Heroes have been named so far—Mr. Reynaldo Samonte (2015), a tricycle driver from Lipa City, Batangas, Mr. Edwin Escamos (2016), a jeepney driver-operator from Iloilo City, and most recently, Mr. Alberto Abad (2017), a tricycle driver from Antipolo, Rizal.
The Philippine Quill Awards is the country’s highest and most comprehensive award-giving body in business communication. Organized by the International Association of Business Communicators, it recognizes individuals, companies, and programs that exemplify excellent use of communication in achieving goals and in making a difference in the society.
