Phoenix Petroleum bags Gold and Silver Stevie Awards at 15th International Business Awards

Phoenix Petroleum, the Philippines’ fastest-growing and leading independent oil company, entered the elite circle of winners of the prestigious International Business Awards (IBA) as it won two trophies at the 2018 Stevie Awards, considered the Oscars of business.

The company’s newly revamped website bagged the Gold Stevie Award for the Best Website for the Energy category. Phoenix Petroleum introduced its redesigned website in February 2018 to showcase the brand as an emerging major player in the oil industry. The new website features a dynamic, engaging, and user-friendly design that supports the company’s positioning as the next generation company.

Phoenix Petroleum also received a Silver Stevie Award from the IBA as the Fastest-Growing Company of the Year in the Asia, Australia, and New Zealand region.

In 2017, Phoenix Petroleum started its aggressive expansion as it acquired and ventured into new businesses—LPG, international fuel trading and supply, bitumen, convenience store retailing, and digital payment transactions. This year, the company added new offerings: fuel additive Phoenix PULSE Technology, Pinoy Tsuper Club loyalty and rewards card, and Phoenix-RCBC Bankard Mastercard.

The company also posted its best performing year yet in 2017 with triple all-time highs in revenue, net income, and sales volume, and grew its market share. Today, Phoenix is the third major oil player in the industry.

“These awards bring us much pride and honor as it recognizes our team’s collective efforts in making us a truly world-class company. We are more inspired to achieve our vision, which is to be an indispensable partner in the journey of everyone whose life we touch,” Phoenix Petroleum Chief Operating Officer Henry Albert Fadullon said.

This year, the IBA received more than 3,900 nominations from various organizations worldwide. Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 270 executives who participated on 12 juries.

“This year’s Stevie Award winners in the IBAs are the most distinguished group of winners we’ve had yet,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “We raised the minimum average score from the judges required to qualify as a Stevie winner, so 2018 winners should be especially proud of their achievements. We look forward to presenting their Stevies to them in London on October 20, and to telling their stories over the coming year through Stevie Awards media.”

The International Business Awards is the world’s premier business awards created in 2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide.
